# System Limits

## Concurrent Job Limit

* Maximum of **1 ongoing job** at a time per customer (by default)
* An **ongoing job** is defined as a job in any of the following statuses:
  * `queued`
  * `validating`
  * `ingesting`
  * `running`
  * `transferring`

> **Note**
>
> Jobs with statuses `completed`, `failed`, `cancelled`, `paused`, `transfer_completed`, or `transfer_failed` are not considered ongoing

* Attempting to create a new job while an ongoing job exists will result in an error

## Input Limits

### File Limits

* Filenames must be \<= 250 characters
* No individual PDF file should be larger than 100 MB
* All files must be non-zero bytes

### Manifest Limits

* Maximum 1000 rows per manifest
* All manifest fields are validated against the schema (see [File Manifest Schema](/extract/reference/input#file-manifest-schema) for details)
* All string fields have a maximum length of 255 characters
* Manifest file size is a maximum of 20 MB

>
> If any of the above limits are not met, the job will be rejected or stopped preemptively. The job status is set to `failed`. You will need to address the issue and submit a new job.
